REFLECTION AND ROTATION
What will we be learning in this lesson?

  • In this lesson, you will learn how to reflect and rotate shapes.
Vocabulary words are found in this purple color throughout the lesson. Remember to put these in your notebook.

Reflection and Rotation

  • Designs are often made by reflecting and/or rotating an object.

Reflecting an object is flipping it over to the other side of a particular line.

Rotating an object is turning it about a certain point.

  • One more time.

Rotation

Rotating an object is turning it about a certain point.

  • We have made something that resembles a flower just by doing rotations.

  • Can you reflect an object over a line?
  • Can you rotate an object around a point?
  • Go back to the classroom to get to your homework and any other items you need to attend to.
