The Tasmanian Devil is native only to Australia's island state of Tasmania. As a marsupial, the tasmanian devil differs from other mammals in having a pouch on its stomach for carrying its young. The tasmanian devil got its name because it is very ferocious. Although it is stocky and the size of a small dog, the tasmanian devil is very muscular and quite ferocious when feeding.
