Muscular System Overview Video

The muscular system provides movement to the body. Without muscles, our bones would not be able to move. Without muscles, many of our organs would not work either. There three types of muscles in the human body: skeletal muscle, smooth muscle and cardiac muscle. Skeletal muscles are attached to the skeleton bones, and provide movement of the body. There are almost 650 skeletal muscles in the human body. Smooth muscle is found in our internal organs such as the digestive system, respiratory system, blood vessels, and bladder.
