Abraham Lincoln was the sixteenth President of the United States. He was President from 1861-1865. He issued the Emancipation Proclamation that freed the slaves. He was assassinated (killed) in 1865. We celebrate his birthday on February 12 with a holiday.

 

Bill Clinton

Bill Clinton is the 42nd President of the United States. He is known for appointing minorities and women to high-level positions. 
He was elected Governor of Arkansas for five terms. 
During his term, the federal budget was balanced.

 

George W. Bush

George W. Bush is the current President of the United States. He is the 43rd President of the United States. He was the first Texas governor to be elected to two four-year terms.
 
He and his father, George Herbert Walker Bush, are the second father and son both to serve as President, after John Adams and John Quincy Adams.
