Weapons of the Civil War

The Civil War started with old-fashioned infantry charges and cavalry attacks. The Civil War ended with weapons of great firepower and mass destruction. The Civil War weapons ranged from guns, knives and swords for personal combat to large cannons for battlefield combat. The Civil War introduced many new weapons of war such as cannons, hand grenades, armored ships and torpedoes.
