The betta fish is also known as the Siamese Fighting Fish. They are a very popular freshwater aquarium fish. It is native to shallow, tropical waters. Bettas are a very colorful fish, and come in a variety of colors, such as red, blue, turquoise, orange, yellow, white and green. They also have long, flowing tails. They are called Siamese Fighting Fish because male bettas are extremely aggresive towards one another and will fight.
