The dinosaurs lived many millions of years ago. About 65 millions years ago, the dinosaurs experience a mass extinction. The cause is believed to be a great volcanic eruption which led to changes on Earth, such as global warming, which led to their extinction. The following timeline shows several of the geological periods of the dinosaur.
