Multi digit multiplication is quite similar to repeated single digit multiplication. However, sometimes you need to regroup numbers.

Multiplying a twodigit number by a single digit number: Example 1: 1. Multiply the ones: 2 x 3 = 6. 2. Then, multiply the tens: 2 x 4 = 8. Example 2: 1. Multiply the ones: 2 x 8 =16. 2. Then, multiply the tens: 2 x 4 = 8. Multiplying a three digit number by a single digit number: Example: 1. Multiply the ones: 4 x 2 = 8. 2. Multiply the tens: 4 x 0 = 0. 3. Multiply the hundreds: 4 x 1 = 4 Multiplying 3 numbers: Example: 3 x 2 x 5 =? 1. Find the product of first two numbers. 2. Multiply the above product and the third number. So, 3 x 2 x 5 = 30.
