A face is a flat surface. All solid figures have faces on them. Faces can be in different shapes. Solid figures that have one circular face are called cones. Solid figures that have two circular faces on either side are called cylinders. Solid figures that have four triangular faces and one square face are called pyramids. Solid figures that have four rectangular faces and two square faces are called rectangular prisms. Solid figures that have six square faces are called cubes. Solid figures that have four triangular faces are called triangular pyramids. Solid figures that have two triangular and three rectangular faces are called triangular prisms.
