The polar bear is among the largest of the bear family. It is native to the areas surrounding the Arctic Ocean. Although most polar bears are born on land, they spend much of their time living and hunting on the frozen sea.The polar bear's body is ideally suited for cold temperatures, and for moving across snow, ice, and open water hunting the seals.
