The knee joint plays an important role in supporting your body weight, and allowing you to bend your leg. Without your knee, you would have problems sitting, walking or running. The knee is a hinged joint allowing flexion and extension of the lower leg, but only limited rotation of the lower leg. Want to learn more about the knee joint? Watch the following videos for more details on the knee joint. Also, check out the Kidport reference library page on the knee joint.
