Find Place Value

The following table shows how to find the value of 3 in 436.

Digit: Any number 0 through 9, especially part of a bigger number.

Hundreds Place Digit: In a number, it is the third digit from the right. For example, it is the number 5 in the number 968,524.

Tens Place Digit: In a number, it is the second digit from the right. For example, the number 2 in the number 968,524.

Units Place Digit: In a number, it is the first digit from the right. For example, the number 4 in the number 968,524.
